Massachusetts is home to a number of salamander and frog species and spring is the time to see them.

Mass Audubon will hold an Amphibians of Massachusetts: Frogs & Salamanders program at the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton on Saturday, March 14th, from 9 am to Noon.

Indoors, get to know which species are found here and their conservation status. Outdoors, we will visit the vernal pool to see whether frogs have returned and are swimming about or whether salamanders have laid eggs.

We will also take a short walk into the woods to search for Red-backed Salamanders

Cost of this program is $15 for members, $20 for non-members.
