Vermont Woodlands Association will hold a hands-on Apple Tree Pruning & Release workshop on Saturday, April 18th in Berlin, VT from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
David Wilcox from the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation will demonstrate the basics of apple tree pruning. This workshop will cover how, where and when to make a pruning cut and then give you an opportunity to practice!
In addition to pruning, we will introduce the basics of apple tree release. This includes removing competing vegetation around apple trees and other important wildlife trees to give them more light and space to grow and thrive.
