UNH Extension will hold a free Best Management Practices- Waterbars, Culverts, Wetlands, and Spills workshop at the Chatham Town Offices on May 16th from 7 am to 2 pm EDT.
Join natural resource professionals and industry specialists for an interactive workshop in the field to hone your skills while learning from professionals at four different stations which include:1. waterbar design, placement and efficiency for erosion control. 2. culvert size, placement and efficiency, 3. wetland indicator species, forested wetlands, and other evidence of wet soils. 4 mitigation of spills on dry land, in ditches, or near water bodies.

What to Bring: Bring a hardhat if you have one. We’ll have a few on hand. Wear sturdy shoes and dress to be outside all day. Lunch will be provided.
