A new report, Beyond the “Illusion of Preservation”  discusses this question and the  imperative laid out for the future of New England’s forests. This discussion by three of the report’s authors will explore a proposed three-step approach to improving the balance so that we can sustainably produce the wood to meet the region’s needs.
