Mass Wildlife and The Nature Conservancy will hold a BioMap Webinar on January 18th at 7 p.m.on Zoom

MassWildlife and The Nature Conservancy recently launched the new iteration of BioMap. This online resource identifies critical land and waterways throughout Massachusetts most in need of conservation. The new web portal delivers the latest scientific data and resources to help state and local governments, land trusts, NGOs, and other partners strategically plan projects to conserve rare plants and animals, important ecosystems, and intact landscapes. New features include a habitat restoration resource center and data on local natural features and climate resilience.

In the webinar, Eve Schluter, Assistant Director of MassWildlife’s Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program, and TNC’s Conservation Ecologist Andy Finton will provide a demonstration of the new BioMap.
