Opacum Land Trust will hold a Birds of a Changing Landscape Hike at Sleepy Hollow in Brimfield on Saturday, May 9th from 8 to 10 am
This hike led by forester Scott Gerrish and Dezeree will explore the unique landscape of this property and why it serves as a great place of diverse habitat.
Shaped by the 2011 tornado, this area in Brimfield offers a powerful example of how forest regeneration after natural disturbances can support local bird communities and enhance biodiversity across New England. We hope you’ll join us to discover the many birds that call this special place home.
The walk will cover a distance of approximately 1 mile. We will be traveling through a shrubby landscape, with some sections being uneven.
