Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center will hold a high elevation Boreal Forest Tour in Windsor & Savoy on September 11th from 10 am to noon.
Aimee Gelinas, naturalist and director of Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center, will lead this hike featuring the unique high elevation flora of the boreal forest (located in the headwaters area of the Housatonic River) including tips for tree, plant and wild edible identification.

Directions: Take River Road off Route 116 just east of the Savoy town hall, cross the bridge and go immediately to your right up the hill on Griffin Hill Road which will become Savoy Hollow Road. The Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center is at 1515 & 1516 Savoy Hollow Rd, Windsor, MA. About 1 mile up.
