Are you a new woodland owner—or simply curious about how to care for your woods?
Vermont Woodlands Association will hold a Caring for Your Woods Workshop for New Landowners on Saturday October 25th from 9 am to 1 pm at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, VT.
Join VWA for a hands-on introduction to woodland stewardship, designed especially for those eager to better understand their land. Learn the basics of forest health, wildlife habitat, and the many resources available to support good woodland care.
The day begins with a morning presentation by Dan Healy, Vermont County Forester with VT Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, followed by guided woods walks with Dan and staff from the park.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a desire to get to know your land better.
The recommended Registration Fee of $15 helps cover the cost of morning refreshments and a light lunch.
