The Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation will hold 11 Chapter 132 training workshops for timber harvesters around the state between June 1st and June 14th. Each workshop will qualify for 3 Mass. Timber Harvester Licensing Credits and meet the requirement for training in Chapter 132.
A Chapter 132 Timber Harvester workshop will be held at Wells Memorial Forest on Barnard Road in Shelburne on June 7th from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
This workshop will discuss Forest Cutting Plan preparation, wetland ID, BMP’s and Northern Long-eared Bats- Guest Speakers will include DCR Wildlife Biologist – Halie Parker, Consulting Forester — Gary Gouldrup and NRCS State Biologist – Michelle Cozine
