The Department of Conservation & Recreation”s Service Forestry Program will hold 10 Chapter 132 workshops for licensed timber harvesters between June 3rd and June 27th.  The workshops will provide training in the Forest Cutting Practices regulations under Chapter 132 that is required for harvesters to maintain their licenses.

Each workshops will have review the Chapter 132 Rules & Regulations and provide updates

A Chapter 132 workshop will be held at the St. Charles Cemetery landing on Farm Street in Blackstone on June 3rd from noon to 3 pm.

This workshop will discuss Forestry BMPs and Timber Harvesting as a Management Tool.  Speakers will include:  Jacob Seidel, Service Forester District 5, Christina McKeown, Assistant Forester, Sean Mahoney, Markets & Utilization Forestry Program Director, and Paul Davis, MA Licensed Timber Harvester.
