Chestnuts & Overlooks Walk

The Friends of the Pachaug Forest will hold a Chestnuts & Overlooks Walk at the Pachaug State Forest in Plainfield, CT on October 7^th from 10 am to noon.

This two-mile hike will traverse a trail with various identified tree species, view native American chestnut trees, and backcross breed chestnut trees, and visit the tabletop overlook, rock quarry remains, wetlands, ledges and an old homestead stone foundation
