The Forest Landowners Association will hold a Cost Trends and Management Practices of Working Forests webinar on October 6th from 10 to 11 am.
In 2020, the “Cost Trends of Southern Forestry Practices” Survey (CTSFP), which was previously distributed by mail, was updated to an online format. Distributing this survey online resulted in the greatest number of surveys ever completed.
Forest landowners nationwide, were surveyed to discover their costs for management practices including use of prescribed fire, herbicide/pesticide applications, invasive species control, and more. This information has practical implications for landowners, foresters, government agencies, and other forestry stakeholders.
Dr. Adam Maggert, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist at Auburn University will present the results of this survey and explain what these results mean in the context of working forest management.
