A stream restoration project in the Green Mountain National Forest can show how strategic wood additions protect and benefit woodland stream habitat.
Vermont Woodlands Association will hold a Creating Flood Resilience through Strategic Woody Additions in Streams Woods Walk in the Green Mountain National Forest on Saturday, Jun 8th from 10 am to Noon.
Presenters Dave Wilcox (Watershed Forester) and Shayne Jaquith from The Nature Conservancy will demonstrate strategic wood addition techniques.
