Emerald Ash Borer, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, and Elongate Hemlock Scale Insecticide Treatment Options workshop

The New Hampshire Division of Forests & Lands and the Beaver Brook Association will hold an Emerald Ash Borer, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, and Elongate Hemlock Scale Insecticide Treatment Options workshop at Burns Farm on Mullen Road in Milford, NH on July 7^th from 9 am to noon.

This workshop is designed for licensed pesticide applicators and licensed professional foresters interested in learning more about insecticide treatment options for treating ash trees for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), and hemlock trees for both Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) and Elongate Hemlock Scale (EHS).

During this workshop Kyle Lombard, NH Division of Forests and Lands, Forest Health Program Coordinator, Bill Davidson, NH Division of Forests and Lands, Forest Health Specialist EAB, and Mike Gagnon, Extension Forester in Hillsborough County, will review EAB, HWA and EHS biology, best management practices, and treatment options, including demonstrations of a variety of equipment used for systemic treatments for these pests.

This workshop will include a discussion of specific insecticides recommended for emerald ash borer, hemlock woolly adelgid, and elongate hemlock scale treatments.

This workshop will be held rain or shine.
