The U. S. Forest Service will hold an Establishing Trees and other Native Plants using Biochar webinar on January 31st from 11 am to Noon EST
This month’s speaker is Dr. Kasten Dumroese, the Senior Scientist and Research Plant Physiologist with the Rocky Mountain Research Station
His recent research has focused on understanding the long-term processes of tree root system architecture in response to nursery practices and on-going mechanical stresses, evaluating biochar to improve nursery efficiencies, and describing long-term effects on carbon and nitrogen pools under different land management and silviculture scenarios.
