Mass Wildlife will hold an Evening Whip-poor-will Walk at the Montague Plains Wildlife Management Area in Montague on May 9th from 7 to 9 pm
This moonlit evening walk will take participants to listen for the iconic song of the whip-poor-will along with American woodcock peents. Birders of all experience levels are welcome. Participants should be prepared to walk ~1.5 miles at a comfortable group pace. Bring binoculars, water, insect repellent, and a flashlight or headlamp. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes good for walking on uneven ground.
