Northfield Mountain Environmental Center

The Northfield Mountain Environmental Center will hold a Fern Walk at Barton Cove on Saturday, June 11th from 9:30 to 11 am.

Randy Stone of the Pioneer Valley Fern Society will lead this walk through Barton Cove Recreation Area. We’ll learn the key features for the easy identification of our ten most common ferns and some unusual ones too.

Bring a hand lens if you have one, and wear clothing appropriate for a walk on wooded trails with some uneven ground.

This free event meets at the Day Use Area at 55 Barton Cove Road, Gill, MA.

No registration is needed.
