The Keene Conservation Commission, in partnership with the Keene Parks and Recreation Department and UNH Extension, will host a Forest Ecology Walk at the Greater Goose Pond Forest on February 18th from 10 am to Noon.

Matt Kelly, Cheshire County Extension Forester will co-lead the walk with Environmental Educator and Naturalist, Eloise Clarke.

Dynamics of tree species diversity, disturbance, carbon resiliency, and forest structure, along with wildlife and Goose Pond’s land use history will be explored to better understand the patterns and processes that have shaped the forest ecosystem.
