The U S Forest Service’s Northern Research Station will hold a Forest Operations Perspectives webinar on February 5th from 2 to 3 pm EST.

No one understands the challenges of changing winters better than those who are involved in winter timber harvesting. Hear from a panel of forestry industry experts as they describe their experiences with winter harvesting and discuss challenges, solutions, and current gaps in knowledge.

This webinar is the last of a four-part Winter Timber Harvests in a Changing Environment webinar series, presented with the Northern Institute for Applied Climate Science (NIACS), and the Northeast and Northern Forest Climate Hubs.  On Thursdays between January 15th and February 5th, webinars will explore changing winter conditions and their consequences for timber harvesting in the Northeast and Upper Midwest.
