The U S Forest Service and the Biochar Initiative will hold a Forest Soil Health and Biochar webinar on August 5th at 11 am EDT.
Debbie Page – Dumroese is a Senior research soil scientist with the Rocky Mountain Research Station and has studied the impacts of harvest operations on soil processes and long-term soil productivity. For the past decade Debbie has worked to reduce slash pile burning by finding uses for low value woody biomass. In particular, she has installed a dozen forest and range field studies that examine the impacts and benefits of adding biochar to the soil.
In this webinar, Debbie will discuss woody biomass-derived biochar properties and discussing results from field studies.
