Birding is a great way to get outside and engage with nature. As a landowner or someone in involved with decisions about land stewardship, you also stand in an important position to improve bird habitat.

The Women on the Land Network will hold a free Forests Are for the Birds webinar on April 7th from 6:30 to 8 pm

This webinar will discuss the basics of bird watching, and how one landowner used forest management to improve bird habitat.

Birding expert Michele Grzenda will discuss strategies for identifying birds using their appearance, songs and calls, and the habitats where they live and migrate through, as well as birding resources.

Landowner Barbara Wallace will then share her story about using forest management as a way to improve bird habitat on her land in western Massachusetts.
