Are you aware of the hidden networks beneath our feet when we walk in the woods?
Franklin Land Trust will hold a Fungi Identification Walk at the Betty Maitland Memorial Forest in Heath on September 20th from 10 to 11:30 am
On this walk, naturalists Geraldine Lavin and Hayden Stebbins will explore the fascinating world of fungi and the essential role fungi play in sustaining healthy ecosystems.
Along the way, participants will learn how to identify the species we encounter, uncover their ecological significance, and explore their many uses—traditional, modern, medicinal, and culinary. Whether you’re a devoted mycophile or simply curious about this overlooked kingdom, you’ll leave with a deeper connection to the living world around you. |
