Getting Started in Maple Syrup Production webinars

Do you enjoy the taste of real maple syrup on your pancakes in the morning? Have you ever thought about making your own maple syrup from trees on your own property?  It isn’t as complicated as you may think.

Penn State Extension will hold two one-hour Getting Started in Maple Syrup Production webinars on December 10^th at noon and 7 p.m.

These webinars, presented by Extension Educator Scott Weikert, will provide the basic information needed to get started in producing your own sugary treat.

Topics will include maple tree ID, equipment, tapping procedures, boiling, filtering, and bottling. A brief description of other products that can be made from maple syrup will also be provided.
