Guided Fern Walk

The Pioneer Valley Fern Society will hold a Guided Fern Walk on Sunday August 21^st from 1 to 3 PM at the 4H FOREST on Shutesbury Road in Leverett

Randy Stone will lead the fern walk on the 4H trails identifying some 20 ferns along the way, including the 10 most common, and Ebony Spleenwort, Maidenhair, Royal, Marsh, Narrow Beech, Crested & Boott’s ferns.

Directions:

From Leverett Town Hall, turn left/south and then bear left onto Shutesbury Road.

The 4-H Forest parking lot is about 0.5 Miles from the Town Hall. Look for dirt drive on your right. If you pass the large beaver pond, you just passed the parking lot.

Participants should dress for possible mud, poison ivy or ticks.
