Hardwood Bucking Workshop

Vermont LEAP will hold a Hardwood Bucking Workshop at Gagon’s Mill in Pittsford, VT on April 30^th from 8 am to 4 pm

This class focuses on bucking logs to maximize the return from each tree. It will include classroom discussions about common log defects and how they impact log and lumber grades, as well as bucking tips to enhance value.

Log yard activities will give hands-on experience in identifying defects and making accurate bucking cuts to maximize returns.

This workshop is essential for improving log handling and understanding grading standards at hardwood sawmills.

Cost of this workshop is $75 per person
