DCR Forest Health will hold an Identifying and Managing Forest Insects and Diseases walk at Tolland State Park in East Otis, MA on Friday, June 7th from 9 to 11am

Forest Health Specialist, Eric Peterson, will lead a walk over the paved trails at DCR’s Tolland Campground in western Massachusetts. Eric will lead a group discussion covering current forest health issues in the area including hemlock woolly adelgid, beech leaf disease, emerald ash borer, spongy moth, and white pine health.

This workshop is free of charge and open to all but requires registration as space is limited. To sign up, please email Tom Prior at thomas.prior@mass.gov  with your name, the date you will be attending, and if you will be applying for pesticide contact hours or professional credits
