The School of Arboriculture at the Morris Arboretum will hold an Intermediate Tree Climbing for Women class on June 4th from 8 am to 4 pm in Philadelphia.

This course is taught by ISA Penndel state champion tree climber, Rachel Brudzinski, for women who have attended Women’s Introduction to Tree Climbing and are looking for further opportunities for supervised tree climbing.

Students will have a brief recap of topics discussed in our introductory course and will spend the remaining portion of the day ascending and moving within the tree. Students will practice installing their climbing lines and learn how to ascend higher into the tree tops.

Participants should come appropriately dressed with above the ankle hiking boots, strong fabric long sleeve pants, gloves and long sleeves if your arms are not used to rough materials.

Students should additionally come to class well hydrated and bring a large personal water bottle.

This course will meet at Bloomfield Farm. Look for the paved road across E. Northwestern Avenue from the public garden entrance. Take the second right. Park in the lot and follow the signs to the Horticulture Center.

This course is for women only.  Cost of this course is $150.  To register, go to https://experience.morrisarboretum.org/Policies.aspx

The course qualifies for 6 CEUs for certified arborists. (S=0, P=6, M=0).

Participants should bring their own lunch.  Masks are required in indoor spaces.
