Introduction to Avenza Maps Workshop

Maine Woodland Owners Association will hold an Introduction to Avenza Maps Workshop on Wednesday, March 11^th at the Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth, ME from 9:30 am to 2 pm.

In this workshop, participants can learn how Avenza Maps, a popular app that uses device GPS location services, can help landowners, hikers, and professionals navigate in the field and record GPS data.

Topics covered in this workshop will include:

Importing maps

Collecting waypoints and tracks

Measuring distance and area

Exporting date

Part of this workshop will be indoors learning the basics of the app, and part outside using the app on recreational trails.  Participants should bring their own device with the Avenza Maps app installed.
