Vermont’s forests face a variety of challenges from invasive forest pests. Climate change is expected to continue to exacerbate the threats that invasive plants, insects, and diseases already pose to the health of Vermont’s forests.

Vermont Woodlands Association will hold an Invasive Forest Pests in a Changing Climate webinar on March 20th from Noon to 1 pm.

This webinar by Savannah Ferreira, Forest Health Specialist, will provide an update on the status of the three non‐native insects which currently threaten Vermont’s forests, including emerald ash borer (EAB), Asian longhorned beetle

(ALB) and hemlock wooly adelgid (HWA), as well as discuss other insects, diseases and other forest health issues that should be on your radar due to climate change.
