Harvard Forest Fall Seminar Series will begin with an It’s Hard to be a Tree online seminar by N. Michelle Holbrook, Professor of Forestry and Interim Director of the Harvard Forest on Thursday September 17th at 11 am..

Professor Holbrook’s research focuses on the movement of water and carbon in trees.  She has made significant contributions to the field of plant physiology, including key concepts in plant hydraulics.  At Harvard, Professor Holbrook teaches plant biology, global food systems, and plant physiology, and heads the undergraduate program in Environmental Science and Public Policy.
