New Jersey Forestry Association
In the 20th century, the once vast forests of the New Jersey Pine Barrens were vanishing. In 1979, a controversial ban on over-development became law, saving over a million acres.
The New Jersey Forestry Association will hold a 90 minute Keeping the Pinelands webinar on July 20th from 7 to 8:30 pm
But today, the Pinelands face new threats from climate change and fire suppression. To help these forests survive, people are using new ways to manage them. In this webinar, forester Bob Williams, New Jersey Audubon’s Kristen Meistrell, and Stockton University professor Matt Olson explain how collaborating with nature is the key to Keeping the Pinelands.
