Vermont Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy are hosting a Managing Forests in a Changing Climate tour at Mud Pond Forest in Greensboro, VT on October 11th from 9 am to noon.
Vermont Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy are partnering with the University of Vermont to host a research experiment exploring effective ways to manage our forests with a changing climate, while also sustaining other values, including biodiversity conservation.
The tour will visit a recently completed timber harvest and discuss the strategies used to improve forest health, climate change resilience, timber production, habitat, and more.
