The introduction of mass timber in North America has already proven successful. Design professionals are showing strong interest and support but have many questions related to its use. With more inclusion of mass timber in building and design codes, several solutions have been provided. However, questions remain—many of which require additional research to answer effectively.

The USDA Forest Products Research Laboratory and Wood Works will hold a three-day Mass Timber Research Workshop at the Best Western Plus InnTowner Madison in Madison, Wisconsin from September 20th – 22nd.

Are you experienced with mass timber? Join fellow design and construction professionals for a two-and-a-half-day workshop on mass timber research, cross-laminated timber in particular, in Madison, WI. The purpose is to review past and present research, identify and prioritize new research needs and, in so doing, help shape future research efforts in North America.
