The Southeastern Vermont Audubon Society and the Vermont Land Trust will hold a Migratory Bird Walk at VLT’s Whetstone Woods property in Brattleboro, VT on May 6th from 7 to 9 am.
Whetstone Woods has been the site of targeted invasive species management and habitat restoration work aimed at restoring the habitat quality of this former agricultural land.
We expect to see and hear a variety of migrating bird species, including Louisiana Waterthrush, Blue-headed Vireo, Black and White Warbler and Black-throated Green Warbler, just to name a few.
This program is suitable for all levels of birders, including beginners! Guides will have extra binoculars on hand for those without. Walking on flat surfaces and with a slight incline with a total walking distance of around 1 mile.
