Mass Wildlife will hold a Montague Plain Habitat Restoration Walk at the Montague Plains Wildlife Management Area on May 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

The Montague Plains is the largest intact inland glacial sandplain ecosystem in Massachusetts. Participants will learn about over two decades of restoration work and upcoming projects.

After the walk, participants can stay and listen to whip-poor-wills and woodcock at dusk, weather permitting.

Participants will meet at Old Northfield Road (get directions) in Montague.

Dress for the weather and for ticks and wear sturdy shoes for walking.

Site walks will be held rain or shine, but will be cancelled or cut short if there is thunder and lightning.
