Professional Development for Forest Business Owners Workshop

Continuing education is key to the success of small business owners, providing the tools to solve problems and increase profitability. But how can loggers, foresters, and other small business owners fit learning and professional development into their busy work schedules?

A Professional Development for Forest Business Owners Workshop will be held at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, ME on May 19^th from 10 am to noon.

In this workshop, forest economy educator Steven Bick will demonstrate the Vermont Forest Business School (FBS) approach to embracing critical thinking and incorporating proven approaches for continuous improvement into a regular work routine, with an emphasis on mental models and self-directed systems. Several alumni of the FBS six-month program are expected to join in this discussion.
