Massachusetts Project Learning Tree will hold an Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood workshop for PreK – K educators at Lawrence Heritage State Park Visitors Center in Lawrence on May 11th from 10 am to 1:30 pm.

This fun hands-on workshop uses the award winning PLT curriculum to connect young learners, ages 3 to 6, with the natural world.  Inquiry-based, teacher-led activities and child-directed experiences incorporate science, social studies, math, language arts, art and music.  They are adaptable to a variety of situations and follow typical preschool routines.  Participants can try out and discuss activities with peers in a collegial setting.

Cost of the workshop is $16, including the curriculum guide jam-packed with exciting, ready-to-use activities, an accompanying musical CD,  a Certificate of Completion, and handouts.

To register, contact Gini Traub, workshop facilitator, at  Gini.Traub@mass.gov or call 617/699-2387 cell, by Saturday, May 4.
