Massachusetts Project Learning Tree will hold a Global & Local Environmental Issues workshop for middle & high school educators on Tuesday, August 6th, from 10 am to 3 pm at the Visitor Center at Borderland State Park in North Easton.

This hands-on, collegial-style workshop highlights select activities from Project Learning Tree’s middle and high school environmental modules, Forests of the World and Focus on Forests.

The workshop showcases activities that support key learning skills:

–       Gathering and analyzing scientific information

–       Increasing cultural awareness

–       Applying critical thinking skills to environmental issues

This workshop will help middle and high school educators bring real-world environmental issues to their classroom.  The field-tested curriculum is flexible for teachers, engaging for students, and is particularly ideal for interdisciplinary team teaching situations.

Cost of the workshop is $23 including curriculum guides.
