Massachusetts Project Learning Tree will hold a Project Learning Tree® Workshop for Elementary Educators at the Regatta Point Conference Room at Quinsigamond State Park in Worcester on Saturday, March 7th, from 9:30 am to 3 p.m.

The workshop is a hands-on, facilitated workshop featuring the award-winning Project Learning Tree® (PLT) K-8 curriculum to engage elementary-age children with the natural world.Students learn the content through active participation such as modeling, investigating, discussing, and presenting topics.  Activities incorporate science, social studies, language arts, and math. They are adaptable to a variety of situations.

Try out and discuss activities with peers in a collegial setting.  Apply them to your teaching situation.

Teachers, O.S.T. and non-formal educators, and anyone wanting to bring the environment into their work with children are encouraged to attend.  The workshop is geared toward grades 3-5, but all educators are invited.

Cost for this workshop is $20 including the curriculum guide jam-packed with exciting, ready-to-use activities, a Certificate of Completion, and handouts.

Please contact Gini Traub, workshop facilitator, at  Gini.Traub@mass.gov or 617/699-2387 cell, by February 29 to register.
