Promoting Moose Habitat through Forest Management walk

Moose are facing significant challenges in Vermont due to a variety of factors, including climate change, habitat loss, and winter ticks.

Vermont Woodlands Association will hold a Promoting Moose Habitat through Forest Management walk at Groton State Forest in Groton, VT on Monday, September 16^th from 3 -5:30 pm

This walk in Groton State Forest with Josh Blouin from VT Fish & Wildlife will show various forestry practices that have been implemented to promote habitat for moose and other wildlife species.

This is a unique opportunity to see real-world examples of habitat management and discover how landowners can contribute to the health of our moose population through effective forest management.

No promises, but fingers crossed we see some moose sign!
