For a relatively small and northern state, Massachusetts supports a notable richness of reptiles and amphibian species. Nearly 50 spectacular and interesting species are found from the salt marshes of Cape Cod and Buzzards Bay to the calcareous fens of Berkshire County.
On January 21st, the Norcross Wildlife Foundation will host a Reptiles and Amphibians of Massachusetts discussion by MassWildlife’s Herpetologist Mike Jones about a selection of native reptiles and amphibians. Mike will explain a new effort to map species distributions and important habitats.
This presentation will be held at the Norcross Wildlife Foundation visitor center (30 Peck Road in Wales, MA) beginning at 1 pm.
Registration is required and space is limited.
Please call (413) 245-1353 or e-mail info@norcrosswildlife.org to register.
