Selling timber is a once in a lifetime activity for most landowners. No single activity has such power to significantly improve or degrade your forest.

Proper harvesting can provide income, improve wildlife habitat, and results in trails, better access, views, and healthy and vigorous forests.

UNH Extension will hold a Selling Timber, Do It Right! online workshop on May 10th from 6 to 7:30 pm

In this workshop, presented by Jim Frohn, Grafton County Forester and Andy Fast, Industry Specialist, learn the steps to ensure successful stewardship planning and optimum timber sale results.

Topics include: components of forest management plans, goals and objectives, role of foresters and loggers, how trees, sawlogs, and other forest products are measured and sold, timber sale contracts, laws, economics, and taxes.

Cost of this workshop is $15.  To participate, register at NH Timberland Owners Association | Kindful
