Maximizing water quality protection may sometimes be challenging and time consuming.

Using skidder bridges (bridgemats) can be very economical and efficient to use over the long run.

New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association will hold a Skidder Bridge Solutions for Stream Crossings workshop on October 30th from 8 am to Noon at Three Oaks Tree Farm in Hillsborough, NH.

Installing a skidder bridge is normally much faster than installing culverts, fords or building corduroy crossings. The reduction in set-up and rehab time can help cut operating costs related to harvesting operations or other forestry activities on a tract of land.

At this workshop, landowner and logger Jack Bronnenberg and Coos County Forester, Ray Berthiaume will lead discussion on best locations for crossings and demonstrate proper installment and removal of both wooden and steel skidder bridges across a stream. A representative from M.E. Bridge Solutions will also be present at this workshop to assist and present wood and steel options available.

Cost of this workshop is $45 for NHTOA Members, $90 for Non-members

To take part in this workshop, register at Skidder Bridge Solutions for Stream Crossings – 10/30/25 – Hillsborough
