Women & Our Woods Vermont will hold a Small Scale Management for Big Questions Forest Walk at the UVM Jericho Research Forest in Jericho, VT on Saturday April 18th from Noon to 2 pm.
Dr. Jess Wikle (forester, lecturer, and manager of UVM’s research forests) and Carmen McFadden (UVM forestry senior and WOW-VT steering committee member) will lead a women-centered walk at the Jericho Research Forest.
Participants will walk through the forest to observe and discuss recent small-scale management that addresses some big questions and hot topics in VT’s forest community, including beech management and beech leaf disease, climate change and resilience,.
