The Northfield Mountain Environmental Center will hold a Spring Bird Walk with naturalist David Brown on Saturday, May 23rd from 8:30 – 11 a.m.
Join us as we take an easy walk to search for the many species of birds whose migration has flooded our woods, fields and ponds during the month of May. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded in Massachusetts over the last century. Along the way we can discuss the habitats in which we can expect to see some of them as well as their songs, calls and nesting habits.
Meet at the Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environment Center from where we will carpool/convoy to a nearby natural area. Dress for the weather, take precautions against ticks, and bring binoculars.
