Did you know that an estimated one billion birds die each year in the United States due to window Collisions? These incidents are a major contributor to the decline of our native bird populations and represent one of the most significant, yet preventable, threats birds face today.

Opacum Land Trust will hold a Stop the Strike program at the Jacob Edwards Library in Southbridge on Thursday, January 8th, at 6 pm.

Opacum Land Trust’s, TerraCorps service Member Emma Comeau, will give an engaging presentation on Bird Window Collisions.  Learn why windows pose such a great risk to birds in urban and city environments and what species are most affected.

Emma will share what other folks in Massachusetts are doing to stop the issue and tips and tricks you can implement at home to make your own windows more bird friendly. Every effort makes a difference!
