Timber Harvesting on Private Lands webinars

The Penn State Forests Web Seminar Center will hold two one-hour Timber Harvesting on Private Lands webinars at noon and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10^th.

These webinars, presented by Melissa Kreye, Professor of Forest Resource Management at Penn State, and Sadikshya Sharma, Masters student in Penn State’s Department of Ecosystem Science & Management, will provide information on the following topics:

• how timber harvesting can help improve stand health and provide income to landowners,
• who is harvesting timber on private lands in Pennsylvania,
• technical assistance programs for landowners who want to harvest,
• findings of a recent survey study investigating public attitudes toward timber harvesting in Pennsylvania.
