How can different forestry practices and silvicultural methods be used to create and enhance habitat for a diversity of wildlife?

UNH Cooperative Extension will hold a Using Silviculture to Maintain & Enhance Wildlife Habitat workshop at Woods Without Gile in Springfield, NH on July 21st from 1 to 4:30 pm

At this workshop, Matt Tarr (Extension State Habitat Specialist), Dode Gladders (Extension County Forester), consulting forester Tim Wallace (River Edge Forestry) and Ann & Marc Davis (2022 NH Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year) will lead a tour a portion of the Davis’ Tree Farm to see how different forestry practices and silvicultural methods have been used to create and enhance habitat for wildlife.

Prior to the event, participants should watch the pre-recorded presentation Using Silviculture to Maintain & Enhance Wildlife Habitat. During the workshop we will discuss and expand upon many of the concepts introduced in that presentation (a YouTube link to the presentation will be provided 1 week prior to the workshop).
