Franklin Land Trust will hold a screening of Views from a Woodlot at the Heath Library on Friday, September 26th from 4:30 to 6 pm.

Views from a Woodlot
is a short film by Chris Hardee that profiles retired Quabbin forester Bruce Spencer and his philosophy of low-impact woodland stewardship.

The film will be followed with a short talk by Brian Donahue, author of Slow Wood: Greener Building from Local Forests.

The program will  conclude with a panel discussion featuring Spencer, Donahue, and forester Mike Mauri. Together they will explore sustainable forest management, the role of local wood in building, and how we can leave our forests healthier for future generations.

Presented with support from the Local Cultural Councils of Colrain, Rowe, and Heath.
