Franklin Land Trust (FLT) and the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation will hold an informational workshop on May 7th, 3pm, Sheep Hill, 671 Cold Spring Road, Williamstown, about FLT’s new Voluntary Public Access Program (VPA). This program pays private landowners to allow public access on their land for hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing and hiking.

This is brand new program is funded through the USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and is implemented in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Massachusetts Forest Alliance, and the Berkshire Natural Resources Council

This informational workshop will provide a detailed overview of the VPA program, including information on how the program works and how to get involved. RSVP is requested but not required. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to all.
